Axis Communications is addressing the concerns of small businesses through its AXIS Companion Line, which includes two new discreet cameras, the AXIS Companion Bullet mini LE and the AXIS Companion Eye mini L. The AXIS Companion Bullet mini LE is an outdoor-ready bullet-style camera with PoE feature, while the AXIS Companion Eye mini L is a fixed mini dome with a compact design for indoor use. The AXIS Companion mini cameras are optimized for reduced bandwidth and storage needs with processing taking place at the edge in the AXIS Companion Recorder.
Both solutions are built with power-efficient IR illumination and offer high-quality video in HDTV 1080p and 2 MP resolution, wide dynamic range technology to handle scenes with complex light conditions. The new cameras provide complete surveillance in total darkness and are 70 percent smaller than the existing AXIS Companion cameras, making them ideal for discreet installations in small business environments such as, restaurants, small boutiques shops and office spaces.
