2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award and Humanitarian Award will be presented at ISC West

Miami, FL (January 29, 2019) – Mission 500, the non-profit charitable organization focusing on the security industry and dedicated to serving children and families in need across the U.S., is now accepting nominations for organization’s 2019 Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Award and 2019 Humanitarian Award. Both awards will be presented at the Security 5/2K awards ceremony on April 11, 2019 during ISC West in Las Vegas.

The Mission 500 CSR Award honors a company in the security industry that has made a significant contribution to those in need. The judging criteria includes an assessment of applicants’ CSR programs as they relate to effectiveness in helping the communities they focus on, involvement of company personnel, sustainability, and long-term impact of the programs and activities that go beyond financial contributions.

Employees can nominate the company they work for, as well as partner organizations. A judging panel evaluates applicants according to the criteria and applicants’ contributions toward social causes. In 2018, the CSR Award was given to Altronix Corporation.

During ISC West, Mission 500 will also present its Humanitarian Award which recognizes individuals in the security industry who have made important contributions to those in need. The 2018 recipient was The Hurricane Harvey Heroes: Curtis Kindred, President of American Defense Systems; Harley Schild, President of Vault Security; and Todd Fitch, President of Point Security.

“Mission 500 is immensely thankful to all of the sponsors and volunteers that have continued to support this organization, and enable us to help improve the lives of  children and families in need,” said George Fletcher, Advisory board member and Mission 500 volunteer. “The Mission 500 CSR and Humanitarian Awards are our way of acknowledging the outstanding contributions of the company and individual who exceeded the high expectations of their peers over the past year.”

Entry forms must be completed and submitted by March 8, 2019. Those who are interested in participating can find the CSR Award and Humanitarian Award forms here. Forms can also be obtained and submitted by emailing Kathryn Robinson at [email protected].
