Dallas suburb to begin enforcement of alarm ordinance

New ordinance establishes annual fee, imposes fines for excessive false alarms

The city of Frisco, Texas, a suburb of Dallas, will begin enforcing a new alarm ordinance on March 1, according to a report published by dallasnews.com.

The ordinance, which was passed late last year by the city council, requires residents and businesses to pay a $35 annual fee for their alarms and imposes fines up to $100 for excessive false alarms in a calendar year.
