Nov. 15, 2010 -- ADI has new leadership for North America; the company announced today that Michael Flink has been named as vice president and general manager for ADI North America.
Flink will oversee the wholesale security and low voltage product supplier's operations in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico. Flink is a veteran of the security industry and Honeywell. He moves over from serving as general manager of Honeywell Security Middle East, where he established the firm's first regional office. Before managing that business, he was vice president of marketing for ADI in North America. During his time as head of ADI's North American marketing, he lead ADI's expansion into Europe, which included opening 32 offices in the company's first year doing business there. He also lead the acquisition of Gardiner Groupe Europe and that firm's expansion into 14 other nations. Gardiner was merged into ADI's global distribution model.
"Michael is an accomplished leader who brings a wealth of experience in delivering results that are influential in driving business growth," said Tom Polson, president of ADI, in a statement announcing Flink's new role for Honeywell. "I look forward to working with Michael as we continue to expand ADI's position as a leader in distribution."
Flink said ADI's North American operations were "well positioned for growth", and he said his focused will be "helping dealers increase their businesses and maximize their value."
