IP Camera Installs A Snap With This Handy Tool

ViSTA Networking Systems, Sacramento, Calif., maker of the VT157A IP Camera Field Kit, now includes Veracity’s new PINPOINT in each one of these kits that are sold across the US and worldwide.

Simply attach Veracity’s PINPOINT to the IP camera and to the existing POE Ethernet cable and then attach the VT157A to PINPOINT. Take the VT157A and set the base IP address to the IP range you wish to search, touch “SCAN” then “DISCOVER” and then the IP address of the camera will be displayed. One double-tap on that IP address and you are at the Web page of the camera and can set FPS, focus and more. The VT157A weighs less than two pounds and can easily be carried in one hand, another installation advantage. The unit’s battery provides up to three hours of continuous usage and the 5.7-inch VGA touchscreen with LED backlighting makes viewing IP camera imagery easy in the harshest conditions.

Hybrid Solutions-- An Integrated Approach

More video surveillance customers demand better recording performance and a higher integration of legacy camera products and Siemens Building Technologies (SBT), Zug, Switzerland is offering just that with their new SISTORE MX 3G™.This real-time hybrid digital video recording (DVR) device is based on the TMS320DM648 digital media processor from Texas Instruments, Inc., a global semiconductor company located in Dallas.
