Audio Meets Video—Virtual Doorman Partners with Aiphone

Virtual Service, New York, N.Y., creator of Virtual Doorman, a leading provider of high-tech electronic doorman services, forged a partnership with Aiphone, Bellevue, Wash., a manufacturer of communication systems, to develop an audio/video intercommunication module that integrates the Virtual Doorman system’s sophisticated remote technology with Aiphone’s GH video entry systems. Combining the two components requires only a single, self-contained unit at the exterior entryway of residential buildings since it functions independently as a video intercom entry system and also communicates with the Virtual Doorman system when called upon. The unit can be easily integrated into a building’s intercom system at any time while still giving the appearance of being original to the system, making it ideal for older buildings as well as new developments.

The cameras are a combination of BTS’s Super High Res. 540 TV Lines domes and vandal domes with Infra-Red IR’s. The video is recorded on 2 DVRs with a total of 2 Terabytes of storage providing over 30 days of continuous recordings from all cameras at a full frame rate.
