Strengthening BioSecurity

Improving security at U.S. biolabs and facilities is a key priority

SIA is working with lawmakers on Capitol Hill to introduce federal legislation that would improve the state of biosecurity by allocating additional funds for federal and non-federal labs to use to protect facilities that contain dangerous toxins, diseases or agents. SIA believes that passage of such legislation would greatly reduce the risk of these materials being used in a terrorist act against the people of the United States.
