China Security & Surveillance Appoints Mr. Bill Wang as Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Newly Established Security Operating

SHENZHEN, China , July 31 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- China Security & Surveillance Technology, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: CSCT), a leading provider of digital surveillance technology in the PRC, today announced the appointment of Mr. Bill Wang to the new positions of Chief Marketing Officer and General Manager of its security operating service division. These positions are effective immediately and will operate out of the Company's Beijing office.

Mr. Wang comes to China Security having held the position of General Manager, China at Honeywell Security Group. Honeywell Security Group is one of the world's leading and most experienced manufacturers of electronic security systems protecting millions of homes, businesses and government facilities around the world. During his eleven-year tenure at Honeywell Security, Mr. Wang held several prominent positions within the sales and marketing division. He also won numerous awards, including the Honeywell President Club Award as well as the Honeywell Security Global Best Sales Team 2006 award among others. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Wang served as Chairman and General Manager at Wuhan Shenlian Science Technology Co., a company involved in providing system integration solutions for alarm monitoring centers for the China Police . From 1985 to 1993, Mr. Wang spent time in several key managerial positions including Sales General Manager at Wuhan Dingie Electronic Technology Co. Ltd, a Taiwanese company involved in the sale of IT services, Assistant Professor at the Wuhan University of Technology and as a cement factory product technician in Wuzi Jiangsu. Mr. Wang earned his BS degree in Automation Control, and MS degree in Computer Technology from the Wuhan University of Technology.

Additionally, as per the Company's previous announcement on July 24, 2007 announcing the addition of Mr. Runsen Li , who will become an independent member of the Company's Board of Directors, Mr. Shufang Yang will resign from the Company's Board effective August 1, 2007 . Mr. Yang will remain in his position as Chief Operating Officer of China Security. This move is intended to increase the number of independent members on the Company's Board Directors as China Security prepares to fully comply with NYSE listing requirements.
