SAIC Awarded Follow-On Contract to Support Army Program Executive Office - Enterprise Information Systems

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 5 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) today announced that it has been awarded a contract under the U.S. Army Space and Missile Defense Command's Warfighter Analysis and Integration Program to provide Biometrics Automated Toolset (BAT) development and operational support to the U.S. Army Program Executive Office -- Enterprise Information Systems.

The single-award, cost-plus-fixed-fee contract has a one-year period of performance. The value of the contract is more than $48 million. SAIC has supported this program since 2003.

SAIC will continue to expand its role providing in-country Army and Marine Corps units with dedicated full-service onsite BAT operational and technical support. The operational support is designed to provide 24/7 full-system availability and functionality and includes system, database and network administration as well as onsite training and logistics administration.

Through this contract, the SAIC-led team will help ensure continued, reliable, Warfighter-centric, low risk, technical and operational support to BAT systems, peripherals and networks. The contract also provides a mechanism to support the BAT as it evolves into a formal program with the U.S. Army and Marine Corps.
