LAS VEGAS , March 31 /PRNewswire/ -- ISC West, Conference Room 3503 -- Mobilygen, a leading provider of low-power H.264 Codec solutions, today announced the security market's first digital video recorder design with high definition monitoring. The DVR, based on Mobilygen's MG3500 Codec ICs, can record up to 16 channels of full D1 resolution H.264 video while streaming multiple video channels over an IP network with low latency. The design also supports advanced analytics to aid in video monitoring and event detection.

The DVR design also uses four Techwell TW2864 4-in-1 NTSC/PAL video decoders. The DVR design provides state of the art DVR functions including: -- up to sixteen channels of H.264 standard definition encoding at 480 fps -- up to sixteen channels of CIF encoding at 480 fps -- up to sixteen channels of standard definition H.264 decoding at 480 fps -- embedded analytics -- high-definition monitoring enables display of multiple standard definition images simultaneouslyThe MG3500 Codec IC is optimized for security applications and supports Mobilygen's smarter video(TM) features, including image stabilization, motion detection, object tracking, scene change detection, event-triggered HD still image capture, privacy region protection, burn-in, and digital time stamps and signatures. The MG3500 also provides the ability to combine all encoded and decoded videos into an HD monitor output with on screen graphics. Encoding of four D1 H.264 streams is achieved while consuming only 0.5 Watts of power, eliminating the need for cooling fans.
The DVR design includes the board, Codec firmware, application software,
board schematics and gerber files to accelerate manufacturers' time to market.
