DALLAS and MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- Monitronics and Alarm.com today announced an agreement that will allow security dealers participating in the extensive nationwide Monitronics Authorized Dealer Program to offer Alarm.com's wireless and web-enabled security and monitoring technology and services to their customers.

Today's discriminating security consumer has moved beyond the traditional alarm system and now seeks an intelligent, "always-on" security system that communicates wirelessly without the need for a phone line or internet connection, and that provides real-time information and alerts via web, PDA, and cell phone interfaces. Alarm.com pioneered the development of these enhanced capabilities and together with Monitronics will enable more than 800 high quality Dealers to provide its advanced solution to consumers in the U.S. and Canada . The Alarm.com solution is available with the award-winning GE Security platform and is tightly integrated with the GE Security Concord, Simon, Simon XT, and NetworX product families.
