ViewCast Video Capture Cards and Stream Control Software Win Streaming Media 2007 Readers' Choice Awards

PLANO, Texas, Oct. 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ViewCast Corporation (OTC Bulletin Board: VCST) today announced that its Osprey family of streaming media video capture cards were selected as the top encoding hardware products in Streaming Media magazine's first annual 2007 Readers' Choice Awards. ViewCast's Niagara SCX stream control extension software was first runner up in the encoding software category.

Approximately 120 products from 92 companies were in the running for the Readers' Choice Awards, and more than 3,000 readers of Streaming Media magazine and StreamingMedia.com logged their votes. Winners will receive their awards at a reception to be held in conjunction with Streaming Media Magazine's 2007 Streaming Media West show on Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2007 , at the Grande Ballroom of the St. Clair Hotel in San Jose , Calif. The awards reception will be open to full conference attendees, speakers, exhibitors, and the press.

As the top Streaming Media Readers' Choice in the encoding hardware category, Osprey streaming media cards are the de facto standard for capturing and digitizing full-motion video.
