Metro Police Department in Kansas Selects ICOP for Fleet Deployment of Digital In-Car Video

June 30, 2008

LENEXA, Kan. , June 30 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ICOP Digital, Inc. (Nasdaq: ICOP), an industry-leading company engaged in advancing digital surveillance solutions, today announced that a metropolitan police department in Kansas has awarded ICOP a 12-month contract to begin equipping its patrol fleet with ICOP Model 20/20(R)-W digital in-car video systems.

Pursuant to an initial purchase order valued at approximately $76,000, the Company has shipped ICOP Model 20/20-W's to the department for immediate installation, and plans to equip the rest of the department's 180-car patrol fleet as funding is secured by the agency.

This important customer win for ICOP followed a competitive bidding process that began in the fall of 2007 and factored, among other considerations, comparative system features and functionality, customer service and support, and officer feedback collected in field trials conducted by the department. Thirty-four vendors originally were invited to participate in the original Request for Proposal. The ICOP Model 20/20-W was chosen due to "ease of installation, less drain on car batteries, and lowest proposed cost along with their qualifications, competence and capacity to provide the most beneficial solution for the police department."

According to Dave Owen , ICOP Chairman and CEO, "Thanks to ICOP's determination to deliver only high performance, superior quality digital surveillance products, backed by unparalleled customer service and attention, our Company is being rewarded with hard won major new customer wins. When viewed cumulatively, these new fleet-wide deployments represent pronounced exponential sales potential for ICOP, helping to fuel our year-end growth expectations. It is also important to note that we continue to see Requests for Proposals being issued by an increasing number of mid- to large-sized agencies -- a relatively new industry trend that has gained considerably since mid- to late-2007. Moreover, we are very pleased to find that many of these newly issued RFP's are being written to product specifications found only in the ICOP Model 20/20-W."
