SAN DIEGO , June 26, 2008 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Online registration for MILCOM 2008, the world's premier military communications conference, is now open.
The annual defense communications forum co-sponsored by the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Communications Society will take place Nov. 17 - 19 at the San Diego Convention Center.
Raytheon Company (NYSE: RTN) will host the 27th annual gathering, where more than 6,000 government and industry representatives from 30 countries are expected to focus on the theme, "Assuring Mission Success."

The MILCOM 2008 program will feature unclassified and classified technical sessions. Topics will cover communications and information technologies and capabilities that address 21st century communications challenges related to national defense, homeland security, disaster response and interoperability.

Gen. Michael Vane , director of the Army Capabilities Integration Center, Training and Doctrine Command; U.S. Army Gen. Jeffrey Sorenson ; and U.S. Air Force Lt. Gen.
