SI International on Winning Team Supporting U.S. Air Force Counterdrug/Counter Narco-Terrorism Program

RESTON, Va., Oct. 17 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SI International, Inc. (Nasdaq: SINT), an information technology and network solutions (IT) company, announced today that the Company is on the ARINC team that was awarded the Counterdrug/Counter Narco-Terrorism (CD/CNT) Engineering, Technical, Staff, and Management Support Services contract with the U.S. Air Force, Headquarters Air Combat Command, Homeland Defense, Civil Support, at Langley Air Force Base, VA. The overall contract has a one-year base period and two one-year options with an estimated value of $13 million, if all options are exercised. The contract value to SI International is approximately $6.5 million over the three-year period. The value of the contract win was included in the October 11, 2007 news release announcing awards in excess of $450 million for the month of September.

Under the contract, the ARINC and SI International will work with US Embassies, unified commands and components to develop strategic priorities and technical engineering details for funding/programming of CD/CNT systems requirements; provide acquisition management assistance into cost, schedule, and performance parameters associated with the potential installation/integration of surveillance and communications systems; support the quality of surveillance data provided to U.S. and Partner Nation Command and Control (C2) systems; provide systems engineering support and surveillance systems architecture development of future CD/CNT systems upgrades and integration efforts; monitor and analyze radar data feeds; and interface with USSOUTHCOM, USCENTCOM, USNORTHCOM, Joint InterAgency Task Force-South (JIATF-S), Joint Task Force-North (JTF-N), Air Marine Operations Center (AMOC), AFSOUTH, AFNORTH, and CENTAF. SI International has been supporting this program since the late 1990s.
