FRANKFURT , Germany , Oct. 11 /PRNewswire/ -- Verizon Business today officially opened a new Smart Center in Frankfurt to support customers with complex computing requirements in continental Europe . The facility extends the reach of the comprehensive, high-end managed services and managed-hosting capabilities already available to Verizon Business' global customers.
Verizon Business' Frankfurt Smart Center enables businesses to entrust the full management of their mission-critical business applications, Web services, facilities, underlying IT infrastructure and IT services to Verizon Business. As multinational companies are moving toward an all-IP environment, the ability to outsource these critical IT functions to a third-party expert is an increasingly crucial business requirement.
Working with Verizon Business, multinational companies are able to focus on their own business objectives, safe in the knowledge that their communications infrastructure is in good hands. The Frankfurt center complements existing facilities in Japan , the United Kingdom and two locations in the United States , and is in addition to Verizon Business' 22 premium colocation centers, which currently span Europe , the Middle East , Africa , the Asia-Pacific region and the United States . The centers support Verizon Business' managed services, which include full monitoring and reporting for hardware, operating systems, network and applications, as well as capacity planning and usage analysis.
