DHS Awards ECS with FFDO Messaging Implementation Project to Support the Federal Air Marshal Service

FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. (ECS), a leading provider of information technology and engineering services to the U.S. Federal Government, announced today that it was awarded a ten month $1.5 million task order under its Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Enterprise Acquisition Gateway for Leading Edge Solutions (EAGLE) Prime Contract for the Federal Air Marshal Service (FAMS). This is ECS' third DHS EAGLE contract award. ECS, along with its sole subcontractor EMC Corporation, will provide all services, hardware, and software to plan, design, configure, and install all hardware and software for implementing a fully operational messaging environment for an Office of Law Enforcement (OLE) program. The scope of this contract is to provide OLE with technical support services. The efforts shall include planning, analyzing, and documenting requirements; designing, installing, testing and integrating the resultant messaging environment; and conducting knowledge transfer activities. The Messaging Implementation Project will facilitate a secure email and calendaring infrastructure that integrates within the OLE secure messaging capabilities.
