InfraGard Houston Conference Set for End of October

Conference brings together private industry, security, FBI, for conference on infrastructure protection

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Sept. 18, 2006--The Houston Chapter of InfraGard is bringing together representatives from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI); local, state and federal governmental agencies; educational institutions; and private industries to create a community focused on information sharing, education and protection of our critical infrastructures in the greater Houston and Galveston area.

The Sixth Annual InfraGard Houston Conference will be held on October 24-25, 2006 at the Hilton Hotel at the University of Houston.

More than 350 attendees are expected to attend this two-day conference, which will focus on Cyber Security; Homeland Security; Water Utility Security; First Responders; Forensics and Hands on Interactive Forensics Labs.

Featured speakers are:

-- John Cornyn, United States Senator - Texas. Senator Cornyn serves as Deputy Whip and on five key Senate committees: Armed Services; Judiciary; Budget; Small Business and Entrepreneurship; and the Joint Economic Committee. He chairs the Judiciary Committee's subcommittee on Immigration, Border Security and Citizenship and the Armed Services Committee's subcommittee on Emerging Threats and Capabilities.
