U.S. General Services Administration Awards $454 Million Task Order to SAIC for Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve Suppor

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va. , June 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (NYSE: SAI) announced today it has been awarded a competitive task order to provide a broad range of information technology services to the U.S. Army's Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems ( PEO EIS ) at Ft. Belvoir, Va. The task order was awarded under the Millennia Governmentwide Acquisition Contract by the U.S. General Services Administration Federal Systems Integration and Management Center. It has a four-month base period of performance, four one-year options, and an eight-month final option period, with a total task order value of $454 million if all options are exercised.

Under this task order, SAIC will provide life cycle maintenance of PEO EIS's Reserve Component Automation System (RCAS), which links 10,500 Army National Guard and U.S. Army Reserve units at approximately 4,000 sites worldwide. The company will also support the Distributive Training Technology Project (DTTP), a nationwide network of digital distance learning centers designed to improve military readiness. The systems support SAIC will provide PEO EIS's RCAS/DTTP Project Manager will help develop and implement Army National Guard information management strategic goals. SAIC services will include program management, software engineering and development, information assurance, enterprise architecture, data warehousing, user support and analysis, and implementation of emerging technology initiatives.
