This tutorial, will examine the factors that make a data center reliable and show how one can achieve maximum reliability. Included will be a discussion of the amount and type of maintenance required for infrastructure equipment and how to ensure this work was completed by vendors correctly. Also covered will be a discussion how being proactive and having the proper matrixes and monitoring equipment in place will help ensure that problems are spotted before they occur.

This presentation will be held on Sunday, September 16 from 8:00 am to 2:00 pm

The second presentation is entitled "Understanding the Facility through an IT Perspective." This presentation will cover the basic theory of operation of the infrastructure equipment in a facility. From the utility service all the way to the outlet in the rack, Mr. Soroka will discuss the various methods and the theory of operation. This session will provide IT professionals with information and solutions to the various functions and performance limitations of the infrastructure, and how this can impact the operations of the IT equipment.
