ASIS Announces Winners in 'Power of Certification' Campaign

Campaign recognized those who sponsored members seeking certification

Alexandria, VA - ASIS International (ASIS), the preeminent organization for security professionals worldwide is pleased to announce the winners in its "Power of Certification Campaign", an initiative designed to increase the number of security professionals earning the organization's coveted Certified Protection Professional (CPP), Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) and Physical Security Professional (PSP) designations.

Throughout the 15-month campaign, security professionals who were already certified were asked to promote and encourage others to pursue certification by sharing the power of certification on their own careers -- benefits such as higher salaries, more opportunities, increased confidence and respect from others. More than 230 people participated in the initiative, providing information, resources and exam preparation advice culminating in the more than 800 candidates who received their certifications during this same period.

"We're proud of the winners and everyone that participated in this program because they are truly the experts on the value of certification, having reaped the rewards themselves," said Robert L. Martin, CPP, President of the Professional Certification Board (PCB) that oversees ASIS' three professional designations. "By sharing their own experiences and encouraging their colleagues to pursue certification, they've opened the door for hundreds of others to further their careers and have advanced the profession in the process."
