(Nasdaq: OPTC), a leading global provider of advanced IP video solutions for security, surveillance, and remote monitoring applications, today announced it has opened a new regional sales office in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates . The opening of the Dubai office underscores the company's success in the Gulf region, establishing key vendor partnerships and participating in marquee projects such as Palm Jumeirah, Dubai Mall, Falcon Highway, Asian Games Qatar , and the Rastanura project in Saudi Arabia . Creating a strong local presence in the UAE facilitates better support and faster response times for the company's sales chain partners all across the Middle East .

The company also announced the appointment of Tariq Anwer as Regional Sales Manager, heading the Dubai operation. Mr. Anwer , a ten-year industry veteran, adds a sophisticated and deep knowledge of security systems and markets in the Middle East . Previously, Mr. Anwer worked for Group 4 Securitas and Al-Futtaim Engineering in the UAE.
