Internationally-flavored event hits Miami and SIW gives you the inside peek

The Americas Fire & Security Expo continues this Thursday in Miami, Fla. Considered to be the top event for Latin American security, the Americas Expo continues to draw top dealers and integrators from Central and South America and has proven popular with dealers in the Southeast as well. The international flavor shines through at this expo, and if you turn your ear, you're as likely to hear Spanish (or Portugese) as you are to hear English being spoken. No matter what the nationality, security professionals are turning to Americas to get the latest on the technology and education in the marketplace.

With a show that starts off at 12 noon opening for the exhibits hall, it's clear that this show was designed to take advantage of all the fantastic nightlife Miami has to offer. Mornings are largely dedicated to networking and education classes. That format still left plenty time for Cygnus Security Group attendees Paul Caplan (publisher of SecurityInfoWatch.com) and Peter Harlick (publisher of Security Dealer, and our resident shutterbug) to hit the floor strong. Here's the digital photo tour of the Americas Fire & Secuirty Expo 2005. Enjoy!
