You CAN Touch This—Crestron unveiled a new line of petite 2.8-inch touchscreens, available in models TPMC-3SM and TPMC-3SMD . The units provide the same control functionality as the larger TPMC-4SM line in a smaller, more discreet style. New Software Support—Digital Monitoring Products (DMP) released Version 1.61 of both Remote Link and System Link software. The major enhancement is that these applications now support the new SQL add-on database module, allowing them to use a Microsoft SQL Server Database instead of the standard DBISAM database. Taking advantage of the new SQL capability requires the optional DMP SQL add-on module. Visit http://sdi.hotims.com 136.

Time-Saving Cable Installation—Berk-Tek introduced TekLok, an interlocking box technology for the LANmark-6 and HyperPlus 5e copper twisted pair cables, simplifying cable installation from the telecommunications room to the device (surveillance camera, access control, etc). TekLok eliminates the need for special tools, deployment devices and additional manpower to hold the boxes during the pulling process, speeding up installation time and reducing overall project costs. Boxes are locked together using top and side tabs. Visit http://sdi.hotims.com 137.
