The director of surveillance operations at several Five Guys Burgers and Fries restaurants in Arkansas needed a way to keep a constant watch over two locations without being glued to a chair. “I can’t be in all restaurants all the time, but I need to be able to monitor my staff and the operations,” Aballi says. “[The product] gives me the freedom to leave the stores and be able to work while still having a social life.”

Aballi has also reduced her number of unnecessary trips to the restaurants, which in the past often amounted to three hours a day on the road for trivial reasons. She uses the video to correct procedural issues with staff.
“I have a young manager who likes to brag that he’s the best manager of all my restaurants,” said Aballi. “While viewing him over my iPhone I texted a screenshot that caught him leaning on the dressing counter, and added a note that said he was the best manager of all my stores. He didn’t do that again. But it proves that my restaurant operations are more efficient because the staff understands that I can watch from anywhere at any time.”
