Welcome to the new PublicSafetyWatch blog!

As editor of SecurityInfoWatch.com, I'm excited to announce our newest blog, PublicSafetyWatch. This blog, which we're authoring in partnership with ADT Security Services, is best described as being at "the intersection of security and public safety". We'll be addressing issues like municipal surveillance, school security, safety for public facilities and events, and all manner of other topics that city governments deal with on a regular basis.

Our contributors for this blog will include ADT content experts on public safety, SecurityInfoWatch.com staff editors, and content experts from some of ADT's technology partners.

Above all, this is a blog to help you -- whether you're a city administrator, a mayor, a police officer, a school superintendent, or anyone else involved in public safety security issues. And we want this blog to be a two-way street. Your comments are always welcome. Add thoughts to our posts. Raise questions that we may not have considered. Send us links to news stories you think we should cover or discuss. You can use the comments section on each blog post, or if you'd rather email, contact us at [email protected] and I'll make sure your email finds the right eyes.

Being that this blog is sponsored and contributed to by ADT, I want to be very clear, while PublicSafetyWatch may be from ADT and SecurityInfoWatch.com, it's not about us at all. This blog is about you and your needs. Welcome to the start of something great!
