Dumb criminal award of the week

July 20, 2010

This dumb criminal award speaks for itself. A man who was allegedly working with an accomplice to steal video surveillance merchandise from a brick-and-mortar retailer was caught on the store's video surveillance camera system. Ordinarily you would think that someone who is aware of the value of cameras enough to try to steal them might somehow think that somehow the retailer also was aware of the value of CCTV and might be using video surveillance. The suspect dropped the merchandise while fleeing the store, but was later arrested by police. A job well done by the store's employees/LP team and the local police!
