ISC West 2007 Photo Dump - part 1

April 2, 2007

It's Monday and the Cygnus Security Group (SecurityInfoWatch.com, Security Technology & Design magazine, Security Dealer magazine, Locksmith Ledger magazine) is back at the offices after a mix of red-eye flights. With ISC West 2007 fresh in our minds, it was time to download the pictures off the memory cards and offer an ISC West 2007 photo dump. From surveillance cameras to innovative access control, we saw it all! Check out more ISC West 2007 coverage from SIW on our ISC West page.

Vegas in the morning -- before most gamblers and tradeshow attendees are awake. The strip has a quiet beauty in the morning as the sun starts to rise.
More quietness: shuffling through the show floor before the doors are open -- every booth poised for sales.
The California Alarm Association, NBFAA, ISC West and SIA played host to an industry breakfast before the show floor and education sessions kicked off.
Cisco's Guido Jouret presented the keynote, talking about the challenges of convergence -- plus what it means for everyone's business.
The night before had been the NBFAA evening event at Kahunaville in the Treasure Island.
Chris Cage's family was on hand to congratulate him for winning the Morris Weinstock Award, which is presented to some of the most dedicated and involved NBFAA members.
IBM was the most notable new entrant to the ISC West show, despite being not-so-quietly involved in some major security and systems integration projects like the City of Chicago's bus surveillance system.
DSC was courting its dealers to "rev up" sales with a Harley giveaway.
DSC's own partnership with Life/ware just might rev up some sales itself. The system integrates home automation, entertainment and security right through the television.
This was the year of the IP-based PTZ. Shown here: Canon's VB-C300.
Tom Heiser of HID, a former integrator himself, showcases the wizadry of the Edge family of IP-connected all-in-one access controllers/readers.
Dennis Caulley was on hand to demonstrate partner integrations that can deliver everything from card enrollment, biometrics, access control software, vending, logical access and more.
Heading toward the Sands convention center, you're going to notice this major addition for the Venetian. That's one heck of an integration project just waiting to happen!
