Brian Harvey

Deputy Chief of Police, Dallas Police Department

Brian Harvey serves as Deputy Chief of Police for the Dallas Police Department, and has served with the department for over 30 years. He has managed law enforcement technology initiatives for the department, including the Dallas police department video surveillance camera and monitoring system and the iWatch community crime reporting application. Chief Harvey has served as commander for the Dallas Comp Stat program, Crime Analysis Unit and the Neighborhood Nuisance Response Unit. Deputy Chief Harvey has also overseen Operation Disruption and Dallas’ FUSION center/real-time intelligence center. He also serves on the adjunct faculty of the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration, and has been a featured speaker at the Secured Cities conference on the topic of how to leverage video technologies for crime fighting.
