Dana M. Frentz, CHPA

Director of Public Safety, Duke Raleigh Hospital

Dana Frentz has spent 23 years in law enforcement and security, 19 of which has been directly in the healthcare setting.  She is currently the director of public safety for Duke Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, N.C.  Prior to coming to North Carolina she was the manager of protective services for Indiana University Health North Medical Center in Carmel, Ind., where she was afforded the opportunity to oversee the security design and implementation during the construction of a 170-bed medical center. In addition to protective services, she was the principal leader for the organization’s safety and emergency preparedness programs. She is an active member of the IAHSS North Carolina Chapter as well as vice chair for the IAHSS Membership committee.
