SIPI will provide technical salespeople, security rep firms and integrators with skills including Basic IP Network Design and Implementation, video management and IP camera image optimization. SIPI attendees will be trained in IP video integration and learn the skills and design tools that will help them become more knowledgeable integrators. The two-day courses cover a range of topics. Day 1 areas of study include IP video design methodologies, Ethernet 101, the open systems interconnect model, introduction to Internet protocol, TCP/IP packet structures, IP addressing basics, IP sub-netting, and introductions to virtual LANS and network switching. Day 2 covers a video network design case study, assigning IP addresses to a laptop, IP camera technology basics, assigning an IP address to a camera, and video LAN connectivity. Day 2 will also cover video image optimization; frame rates, resolution and compression; video management software installation; video network optimization; and a design technology review.
