Former head of global corporate security for Amazon.com to head up ASG's new SRMS group

Renton, Washington – April 4, 2016 - Aronson Security Group (ASG) announced today its entry into the Security Risk Management Services (SRMS) market and the formation of the Enterprise Security Risk Group (eSRG) headed by their new Chief Security Officer, Ed Bacco. Bacco is the former global head of corporate security for Amazon.com.

“eSRG will provide research, assessment practices, and strategic planning within the emerging Security Risk Management Services (SRMS) market,” said Bacco. “SRMS will define services and product vendors who can operate in one of the consulting, services, or technology practices that enable Enterprise Security Risk Management (ESRM).”

“In our conversations with business, IT, and security executives, we realized they are attempting to create a 360-degree view of their risk, resilience, and security programs,” said Phil Aronson, President and CEO of ASG. “To accomplish this requires a new service delivery mechanism that helps drive leadership, innovation, and change within their organization as well as a program delivery methodology for ESRM.”

“We will help business executives navigate opportunity and risk while creating measurable value from their Enterprise Security Risk Management initiatives,” said Bacco. “At the same time we will help the Physical, Cyber, and Building Automation security domains create a common language around risk while optimizing their people, processes, and technology.”

The eSRG team is composed of principals with domain knowledge of program assessments, security strategy, planning, organizational change management, and technology roadmaps.

In addition to Ed Bacco, who brings over 30 years of security management, physical security, and project management leadership, the team includes two Principals, William Plante and Wendi Walsh. Plante a 25-year security management veteran, is the former CSO of Symantec offering clients leadership in driving business resiliency programs including business resumption planning, incident management, and information technology disaster recovery. Wendi Walsh, a Change Practice Leader brings a 20-year history in organizational development, security consulting, and program management.

“ASG recognizes that they not only need to orchestrate all the resources and products within this new SRMS landscape but also be able to dive deeply into areas that most service providers are afraid to go”, said Michael Hamilton, CEO of Critical Informatics (former CISO of the City of Seattle).
