Congressman offers gun control bill inspired by spy movie
A House Democrat has proposed gun control legislation he says was inspired by the latest James Bond movie, "Skyfall."
Rep. John Tierney, D-Mass., says his bill would encourage the development of weapons that could be fired only by their owners, The Hill reported Thursday.
In a statement, Tierney says that in the movie the super-spy "escapes death when his handgun, which is equipped with technology that recognizes him as its owner, becomes inoperable when it gets in the wrong hands...
