Ron Martin appointed executive director of Open Security Exchange

Martin to focus his efforts on research and mentorship


The Open Security Exchange, a non-profit association created to address the convergence of physical and logical security and interoperability of security solutions, announced Wednesday that Ron Martin has been appointed as its executive director.

Martin, who is the founder and sole proprietor of Washington, D.C.-based security consultancy firm Consullition, will focus his efforts on research and mentorship as executive director of the organization.

According to a statement, Martin is in the final development of an identity, credentialing and access management curriculum for Capitol-College, which is located in Laurel, Md.

"I am very pleased to be working with such a strong group of industry leaders regarding the converging worlds of physical and logical security," Martin said in a statement. "With our continued focus on this ever-evolving space, the Open Security Exchange offers our members an opportunity to shape and impact the future of physical and IT security convergence."
