Digital Barriers, a provider of security solutions for the homeland security and defense markets, announced this week that it has acquired French-based video analytics software developer Keeneo.
In a statement, the company said that it sees opportunities for Keeneo’s software across the markets in which it operates.
Keeneo’s video analytics software allows for real-time detection of human intrusion and other activities within a targeted 3D area or zone.
"Video analytics capabilities are becoming an increasingly important element of the market, given the ever-increasing scale and complexity of surveillance platforms and the data they must handle," Digital Barriers said in the statement. "Analytics capabilities will allow Digital Barriers’ security and defense customers to not only significantly enhance their situational awareness, but also increase efficiency and reduce operating costs."
