Security Technology Executive magazine's new iPad app features exclusive content not available in the print edition.
This week, Security Technology Executive magazine enters the age of mobile publishing with its first iPad app, featuring exclusive articles and bonuses as a companion to the upcoming November/December print issue. The iPad app is free and available for download in the Apple App Store, which can be accessed from your iPad.
In addition to getting a sneak-peek of some of the great content in store for the upcoming print issue, the iPad app features an exclusive article, as well as exclusive videos to accompany each story.
The cover story of the app is this year’s STE Security Innovation Award Honorable Mention project, the New Orleans International Airport. In addition to the in-depth written coverage of end-user success stories you are accustomed to in STE Magazine, the app features a video that gives you an inside look at the airport’s use of a PSIM system, along with an interview with John M. Lyon, the airport’s telecommunications manager. The article also features bonus photos not included in the print edition.
For those of you tasked with using data centers or overseeing their security, the STE exclusive November iPad app will feature an in-depth article outlining the security threats facing a typical data center, and how they can be mitigated. Bonus interactive content includes two videos: An inside tour of the second-largest data center in the world, QTS’ Atlanta Metro Data Center facility; and an in-depth look at security and technology in one of Google’s primary U.S.-based data centers.
Also featured on the app is an STE iPad exclusive article, “Leveraging IT for Security Success.” This article outlines how to craft a successful relationship between the physical security and IT departments; and it features SecurityInfoWatch.com editor Geoff Kohl’s exclusive one-on-one video interview with the author, security consultant Howard Belfor.
Whether you want a sneak peek of the great STE magazine content in November/Decemeber; or if you want more interactivity from your magazine; or, if you want exclusive content, the STE iPad app is for you!
Of course, this won’t be Cygnus Security Group’s first foray into the world of mobile publishing.Expect more digital issues exclusive to the iPad in the coming months and in 2012 from both STE and sister publication, Security Dealer & Integrator.
