TimeSight Systems, a provider of video storage solutions, announced this week that it has entered into a technology alliance with megapixel camera maker Sentry360.
According to a statement, the partnership will enable compatibility between the companies’ products and reduce costs for end-users. Sentry360’s imaging technology reduces the number of cameras needed to provide coverage in a given area and will complement TimeSight’s video lifecycle management platform, which gives users the ability to shrink stored data over time.
"Today marks a giant step toward resolving these burgeoning issues while providing a lower cost of ownership to the end-user," said Thomas Carnevale, CEO of Sentry360. "The combination of our technologies brings a heavy return on investment to mission critical security projects. Sentry360’s multi-megapixel 360-degree immersive imaging and directional cameras together with TimeSight System’s Video Surveillance Appliances, featuring video lifecycle management, combine to create a next generation, high resolution efficient video evidence collection platform."
The companies will be demonstrating the integration of their solutions at this week’s ISC Solutions conference in New York City.
"This alliance leverages the two key technologies that deliver exactly what enterprise users are demanding – better video and better use of that video," said Charles Foley, CEO of TimeSight Systems. "They get wider coverage, better video, and longer retention, all with fewer cameras, fewer storage servers, and less overall cost."
