PROVO, Utah, July 18, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Nu Skin Enterprises, Inc. (NYSE: NUS) breaks ground today on its new $85 million Innovation Center, expanding its corporate headquarters and housing 900 employees at the downtown campus. The plans include a new state-of-the-art anti-aging research and development center, technology hub and modern collaborative and green spaces.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert and Provo City Mayor John Curtis will be featured guests at the event. Mayor Curtis has expressed optimism for the project and its impact on the city, saying, "Nu Skin is a key stakeholder in our downtown economy and we're pleased that Nu Skin is investing in our city as it invests in its future."
The Nu Skin Innovation Center will feature an additional 164,000 sq. ft. for a total Nu Skin corporate campus of nearly 300,000 sq. ft., including:
- An atrium designed to be a focal point of the campus, encompassing 18,259 sq. ft. and connecting the existing headquarters building with the new Innovation Center
- An expanded research and development space for the Nu Skin Enterprises Center for Anti-Aging Research with a total of 18,000 sq. ft.
- More than one acre of green space on the expanded 4.38 acres downtown campus
Nu Skin retained the Seattle-based architectural firm Bohlin Cywinski Jackson for the Innovation Center design and is contracting with Okland Construction in Salt Lake City to manage the building project. The company anticipates the completion of the Innovation Center in 2013 and is seeking LEED Silver certification.
