ULwebCerts now available for Alarm Certificate Service customers

Product safety testing firm Underwriters Laboratories (UL) announced earlier this month that it has made its ULwebCerts online service available to Alarm Certificate Service customers.

According to a statement, alarm service providers that use the service will now be able to request alarm certificates and receive immediate delivery of their certificate serial number and a "proof of Certificate request."

In addition, the service will also help to eliminate transcription errors through the utilization of "smart forms" that only display valid protection detail choices. ULwebCerts also includes a log-on Alert feature that provides users with an automatic reminder of expiring certificates and an advanced sorting feature that can provide customers with a downloadable list of all active certificates with protection detail.

"This new service demonstrates UL's ongoing commitment to its customers by making the Alarm Services certification application and management process even more accessible, accurate and user friendly," said Bob Jamieson, UL's Global Director, Life Safety & Security. "In an era where speed to market is critical, the new ULwebCerts service provides the industry's quickest means for an Alarm Service provider to request a Certificate and receive confirmation exactly when they need it."

Users can begin using ULwebCerts by registering for a MyHome account at www.UL.com. For more information, visit www.ul.com/alarmsystems.
