Palm Beach County, Fla. eliminates nightclub security exemptions for restaurants

Restaurants that charge covers or have minimum drink purchase requirements will now have to hire security guards


According to a story published this week by the Palm Beach Post, restaurants that charge covers or have minimum drink purchase requirements in Palm Beach County, Fla., will now have to hire security guards.

Though the security requirement for nightclubs had been in place since 2008, county commissioners decided to eliminate exemptions that had been in place for restaurants, the report noted.
