Florida police deploy state-of-the-art camera system

30-camera system allows officers to monitor public area from their laptops

Police in Desert Hot Springs, Fla., unveiled a new surveillance system this week that allows officers to monitor public places from their laptops, according to a story published by The Desert Sun.

The system, which was provided through Lockheed Martin, includes 30 cameras installed in public areas, as well as 16 squad cars.
