Electronic security services provider Vector Security announced earlier this month that it has acquired Florida-based Certified Security Systems.
According to a statement issued by the company, Certified Security Systems services both residential and customer accounts in the Jacksonville, Tallahassee, Fort Lauderdale and Palm Coast areas. The company said the acquisition would help it in its southward push, adding to last year’s expansion of its dealer base in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Florida.
“This strategic alignment with Certified Security Systems enabled Vector to gain a well-trained and highly-tenured senior management, sales, technical operations and administrative staff as well as additional customer base and office locations,” said Vector President and CEO John A. Murphy in a prepared statement. “(The acquisition) will further assist growing Vector Security’s Authorized Dealer group participants, who operate within Certified’s geographic footprint.”
In addition, Vector Security will retain Certified Security Systems’ staff of 80 individuals, who will now help lead the company’s new Southern District.
