Report: Son of Kaspersky Lab CEO possibly kidnapped

Russian website reporting that kidnappers want 3 million euros for return of Ivan Kaspersky


According to multiple published reports, Ivan Kaspersky, the 20-year-old son of Yevgeny Kaspersky, who is the founder and CEO of anti-virus software maker Kaspersky Lab, has gone missing in Russia and may have been kidnapped.

Russian media outlet Life News is reporting that Ivan Kaspersky was abducted by kidnappers while he was on his way to work on the morning of April 19.

The website says that the kidnappers are demanding 3 million euros for his safe return.

A spokesman for Kaspersky Lab would not comment on the reports to CNET.
