Surveillance solutions provider Panasonic System Networks Company of America announced today that its video surveillance systems have been chosen for a system upgrade at the world renowned H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center & Research Institute in Tampa, Florida.
According to a statement issued by the company, Panasonic solutions were selected from a field that included five different brands.
The project includes the design and implementation of a state-of-the-art video surveillance system for the main hospital, a new parking garage and three research buildings. Securiteam of Wesley Chapel, Fla, performed the installation, which was completed in December.
"Using Panasonic technology, the Moffitt Cancer Center can improve both its operational efficiency and the quality of the security they provide to patients, visitors and employees," said Bill Taylor, President, Panasonic System Networks Company of America. The Moffitt Cancer Center is part of the group of National Cancer Institute (NCI) Comprehensive Cancer Centers and occupies more than two million square feet, spread across 11 buildings in and around the Tampa area.
