Sagem Securite launches new biometrics company
MorphoTrak a combination of Sagem Morpho, Printrak
Sagem Securite, a manufacturer of high-technology solutions, announced this week that its launching a new U.S.-based company called MorphoTrak, which will offer a host of biometric and identity solutions to the federal, state and commercial markets.
According to a statement issued by Sagem Security, the new company is a combination of its Sagem Morpho subsidiary and Printrak, the former biometrics business of Motorola, which was recently acquired by SAFRAN.
Jean-Paul Jainsky, the company’s chairman and CEO, said that the formation of MorphoTrak will allow the Sagem Securite and the U.S. to continue their “leadership” role in the biometrics field.
