Thieves steal 500 pound data storage bins from three Ohio bank branches

Three data storage bins, which are used to store paper documents prior to shredding, have been stolen from three branches of FirstMerit Bank in Ohio, according to an article published this week by bankinfosecurity.com.

The bins, which reportedly weigh more than 500 pounds each, were reported missing from braches in Streetsboro, Westlake and Elyria beginning on Oct. 7. One of the three bins was reported to contain the personal information of customers.
