Canon India makes its debut in the surveillance market

Company targets a 10 percent market share in space by the end of 2010


Canon India announced this week that it will be entering the security and surveillance market with a new line of 10 network cameras, according to a report published by expresscomputeronline.com.

With such a strong demand for surveillance and security equipment in India, Canon India President and CEO Kensaku Konishi said that the company’s move into market space was a “obvious option.” Konishi added that the company’s goal is to gain a 10 percent market share in the space by the end of 2010.
