Smith & Wesson announced Monday that its perimeter security division, known as Universal Safety Response, will be rebranded as Smith & Wesson Security Solutions.
The company says the new name "more accurately reflects" the company’s heritage and its "leadership in security and protection."
Smith & Wesson Security Solutions offers a broad range of products for the perimeter security market including its GRAB and EMB vehicle net barriers. The division will continue to operate from its Franklin, Tennessee location.
"Our unique products have already earned a tremendous reputation with our existing customers," said Barry Willingham, president of Smith & Wesson Security Solutions. "We expect this rebranding to provide us new opportunities by differentiating Smith & Wesson Security Solutions in the competitive arena and better positioning our business to play a significant role in the global security marketplace."
