Report: Lotion bottles used to hide cocaine from airport screeners

Authorities say suspects conducted trial runs over several months

According to a story posted Friday by CBS New York, authorities in New Jersey recently uncovered a drug smuggling ring that was able to hide their cocaine shipments from airport screeners by masking the drug in bottles of lotion.

After the cocaine arrived at its destination, it was converted back into a powder and sold, the report said.

Authorities say the suspects in the case conducted trial runs from Peru to the U.S. over a span of several months.
