Brownyard Educational Center launched at ASIS 2010

The Brownyard Group, a provider of liability insurance for the security guard industry, and risk management consulting firm Cardinal Point Strategies announced at ASIS 2010 earlier this month that they have partnered to launch The Brownyard Educational Center to offer security professionals continuing education and degree programs.

In addition to the Brownyard Group and Cardinal Point Strategies, the Princeton, N.J.-based center also features three other partners including CiNet’s Professional Security Training Network, Kaplan EduNeering and Kaplan University. According to a statement, the center will feature an "online training resource" and provide "real-time information specifically for the private security industry."

The center will feature two professional development components including; The Brownyard Platinum Performance Training Program, which features three tiers of courses from PSTN and Kaplan EduNeering; and, an online learning system featuring courses that are offered online through a Learning Management System or Kaplan University.

"It is the unprecedented depth and breadth of knowledge and unique understanding of security matters that sets the center apart from all other training initiatives," said Paul Goldenberg, CEO of Cardinal Point Strategies. "The center's goal is to meet the needs of an ever-changing security environment in the U.S. by engaging security companies and officers in the continuing process of professional development."
